É possível viajar para outros países morando na Estônia

Located in Northern Europe, Estonia has neighboring or nearby countries that are very interesting for those who want to know new cultures and explore other destinations.

As it is located on the mainland, access is very easy and can be done either by land or by sky and sea. In this post we will show you some of the countries and capitals close to Estonia that you can visit while you are here.

Check out the information and start building your itinerary:

1. Latvia

Estonia and Latvia share a direct land border, so it is possible to travel to the country by car and bus – the trip to the capital, Riga, takes around 4h30. Another option is to travel by plane, on a flight of less than 1 hour, which is super fast.

2. Lithuania

As Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania form the three Baltic countries, we cannot fail to mention Lithuania as an option, after all, it is common for many travelers to take the opportunity to visit the three destinations in one trip.

For the capital, Vilnius, the options are the same: by car, bus or plane. The journey there by land is about 7h or 1h15 flying.

3. Finland

Now if your desire is to visit a Nordic country, don't worry, you will also have options. To go to Finland you can take a flight or a ferry. Yes, you have the option to travel to another country by sea!

To the capital, Helsinki, the journey across the sea takes about 2h30, and the ferry is well equipped, almost a mini cruise, which makes the experience even cooler. If you need to travel by plane, it is also possible and takes approximately half an hour.

4. Sweden

Are we going to another Nordic country on the list? Sweden is also a possible destination to visit while living in Estonia, and the means of transport are also plane (1 hour flight) or ferry.

To the capital Stockholm, the journey across the sea takes about 17 hours, so you have to sleep on the ferry, which has options for cabins, as well as restaurants and other attractions.

5. Russia

Last but not least: Russia, a country that is on many people's wish list.

Living in Estonia, this trip becomes super possible, because Estonia and Russia share a direct land border, that is, it is possible to visit the country by car or bus.

The Tallinn – St. Petersburg is one of the most popular, and for those who choose to go by bus, the journey takes about 7 hours. It is also possible to take a plane, but the options for direct flights are very limited. The route with a connection lasts an average of 3 hours.
