Portuguese citizens (father or mother) who acquired nationality or who are in the process of naturalization (Sephardic route or length of residence) or marriage, can pass on nationality to their children under 18 years of age.
The hypothesis has legal provision in article 2 of the Nationality Law, Law 37/81 of October 3, and article 13 of the Portuguese Nationality Regulation, Decree-Law 237-A/2006 of December 14.
