Increase in Israelis seeking Portuguese nationality via Sephardic route
The number of Israelis interested in obtaining the Portuguese nationality has grown rapidly. The Martins Castro, specialized in citizenship processes, explained, in an article in Reuters, as the law granting nationality to descendants of Sephardic Jews expelled from Portugal has attracted more and more people from Israel.
The company highlighted that one of the great attractions is the fact that it is not necessary to live in Portugal to apply for citizenship. In addition, the benefits of a European passport, such as the freedom to travel, live and work throughout the European Union, have been a great incentive for many.
