Portugal presents new solidarity Golden Visa
The Portuguese government is about to launch the Golden Visa Solidário, a new type of residence permit. The aim is to channel private investment into social projects that support the integration of vulnerable immigrants, such as the construction of reception infrastructures and affordable housing.
Unlike the traditional Golden Visa, this new visa does not offer a financial return to the investor, but requires an estimated contribution of 250 thousand euros, promoting an image of sustainable and responsible investment in Portugal.
How will the new golden visa work?
The main purpose of this visa is to redirect capital to social and housing initiatives, helping to alleviate pressure on the real estate market and providing support to vulnerable populations.
Although the government has not yet defined the final details or an implementation date, the measure is already generating great interest as it offers a more accessible alternative for investors who prioritize social impact.
