2030 World Cup: Portugal hosts celebrations from around the world

FIFA's extraordinary Congress has confirmed that the 2030 World Cup will be held in three countries: Portugal, Spain and Morocco. The tournament's opening matches will be held in South America, marking the competition's centenary.
Montevideo (Uruguay) will host the Latin American opening and inaugural match at the Estadio Centenario, followed by matches in Buenos Aires (Argentina) at the Monumental de Nuñez and Asunción (Paraguay) at a stadium yet to be announced. This celebration will honor the roots of the World Cup, which began in Uruguay in 1930.
