According to Algarve Tourism, between 2017 and 2023, the number of tourists from the USA grew by around 200% in the region, making it the third most popular destination for this audience, with 10% of overnight stays.
For the Canadian market, the Algarve has established itself as the second most sought-after destination in Portugal, with an impressive 25% share of overnight stays.

At the VisitPortugal Travel Trade Marketplace USA & CAN event, Portuguese and North American tourism professionals held over 4,000 individual meetings, promoting the exchange of experiences and expanding offers to attract more travelers.
