Cidadania portuguesa: Martins Castro cobra cumprimento dos prazos legais

Martins Castro is in the press once again, this time to draw attention to a problem that affects thousands of people: the delay in analyzing applications for Portuguese citizenship.

A collective petition signed by Portuguese jurist Isabel Grilo Comte, a specialist in citizenship law at the Martins Castro law firm, was published on the Parliament's website. The document demands that the Portuguese government comply with the legal deadline of 90 working days for analyzing cases, as provided for in administrative legislation.

The number of pending cases already exceeds 500,000, with waiting times reaching three years — many of them from Brazilians, as highlighted in the Portugal Giro report. Read the full article on here.

The moment demands mobilization. It is not about asking for privileges, but simply compliance with the law.
